Mrs. Burke
In 1995, I graduated from Mineral Wells High School and went straight to college in the fall. After changing my major from nursing to education, I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2001. I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in December 2019.
I came to Perrin Elementary in 2009 and only left for a short time before realizing that Perrin was where I wanted and needed to be! Previously, I havee taught 4th grade ELA/Social Studies, 4th grade self-contained, and 1st grade. This year will begin my journey as a ELAR teacher in Junior High! I am excited to begin a new adventure!
In 2001, I began my teaching career in Mineral Wells at Houston Elementary teaching 2nd grade self-contained. After 4 years at Houston Elementary, I opened my own preschool in Mineral Wells. After having the preschool for 4 years, I began working for Mr. Wolf at Perrin Elementary!
Mr. Burke and I have been married for almost 20 years. We live in Mineral Wells with our children Kylie, Keaton, and Kolby, and our two precious new grand babies, Harper and Brynlee. Kolby is the only one of my children left at Perrin High School, and he will be a sophomore this year. Our daughter Kylie is attending Weatherford College this fall and will be majoring in phlebotomy. Keaton will also be attending Weatherford College and will be finishing up his prerequisite courses. We have 3 pets Boomer, Lemonade, and Buster Brown. Boomer is a German Shepherd and is Keaton’s pup. Buster Brown is Kolby’s spoiled dachshind and Lemonade is Kylie’s very moody cat!! They all keep us on our toes!!
When we aren’t at school, we really enjoy watching our boys play sports. Kolby plays for the DFW Hawks and is currently in his 5th year with them. We spend at least 2 weekends a month at basketball tourneys. As a family, we love, love to travel. We’ve been on several cruises, to Canada, and Florida is our most favortie vacation destination.
