About our Community and School District
Perrin-Whitt Consolidated Independent School District has served the community of Perrin since the first school was established in 1914. The Perrin and Whitt school districts joined forces in the 1970s.Perrin, Texas, is located on Highway 281, halfway between the neighboring cities of Jacksboro and Mineral Wells. Perrin is a farming community located in the heart of oil and gas country. Our mascot is the Pirates. The mission of our school district is to prepare our students to be leaders in today’s world. We are very proud of the many Perrin graduates who have gone on to great successes in many walks of life, and it is our continuing commitment to our students to make sure each of them is equipped to contribute to our society when they leave our school.

In northeast Texas, Delta, Hopkins, and Lamar. * Through Saturday Afternoon. * Showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous through the day Friday and continue into Saturday. The heaviest rainfall may occur late Friday afternoon into Friday night. * Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches will be possible especially near and northwest of Highway 377. Isolated rainfall amounts of close to 8 inches will also be possible, especially across the Big Country and western North Texas.
